One-day outdoor wildlife festival in Umatilla, Florida includes

a wildlife presentation about amazing bear stories from Kate Marshall Graphics,

other presentations by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission biologists,

and many, many booths at Cadwell Park, including artists, vendors and food.

We appreciate their taking time out from their busy performing

schedule to discuss some upcoming projects with us.

 

See and meet them in Cades Cove in selected dates on April and May,

near the Old Mill & Visitor Center for

Appalachia’s music as it was once sung on the porches

and in the cabins in the Cove many years ago.

They will also be at many other venues throughout the year,

EASTERN BLACK BEAR CONFERENCE

(FOR WILDLIFE BIOLOGISTS IN THE EASTERN STATES)

SUNDAY-TUESDAY, MAY 1-4, 2011

 

As contributors and N.C. black bear cooperators,

Kate Marshall Graphics has been invited to attend a day of presentations

and will have a table exhibit at this conference.

Hosted by North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission,

this is an annual meeting for agency personnel

to discuss updates in bear management, research and monitoring tools,

bear range and stats, human-bear conflicts, road impact on bears, and more.

BEAR AWARENESS WEEK

SUNDAY-SATURDAY, MAY 15-21, 2011

 

 

KMG BEAR FILM: WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 2011, 3-4 PM

Please join the folks at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham,

North Carolina, as they devote a week to bears and information

about bears. Two of the black bears that were rehabbed at

Appalachian Bear Rescue, Yonah and Mimi, which were not

able to be released to the wild, are living here in a

natural bear habitat. You can see these bears, and also

see our film, "Season of the Bear, Volume 2: Black Bear Cubs"

3-4 PM on Wednesday, May 18.  Before the film, please

meet with the bear keepers at the black bear exhibit,

as they discuss black bears and their lives. All activities plus

the bear movie are free with the price of admission.

We will not be able to give a bear presentation at this event,

but we will be represented by our bears anyway - on video!

MOUNTAIN WILDLIFE DAYS IN CASHIERS, NORTH CAROLINA

FRIDAY-SATURDAY, JULY 15-16, 2011

 

 

BEAR PRESENTATION HERE!

 

Kate Marshall Graphics has been invited to give a bear presentation.

This two-day indoor and outdoor wildlife festival in Cashiers, North Carolina

also includes a presentation by Rob Gudger and his live wolves,

Bill Lea's fantastic wildlife and nature presentation, and more,

with table exhibits by Kate Marshall Graphics,

Appalachian Bear Rescue, Bill Lea, Wild South and others!

Friday is for guided hikes and activities,

Saturday is for more hikes and live presentations!

Join us at the indoor nature festival as we

join many other vendors, offering fantastic nature gifts for the holidays!

More details will follow as we get closer to Christmas.

This is usually a one-day indoor event on a Saturday before Christmas,

with arts and crafts vendors, hot chocolate and more!
