FROM THE EDITING STUDIO:
Current Documentaries 2011 - 2012
These new programs are currently in production and/or post-production, all in a year that Kate Marshall describes as "magical" and "exciting."
"Spring Wildflowers of the Southern Appalachian Mountains" [tentative title - planned release: 2011] A fantastic video about some of the wildflowers you may find when hiking in the Southern Appalachian Mountains in spring, including definition of wildflowers, wildflower habitats, interviews with wildflower and wild orchid experts and spring wildflower identification and interesting facts.
"Summer & Fall Wildflowers of the Southern Appalachian Mountains" [tentative title - planned release: 2012] A fantastic video about some of the wildflowers you may find in summer and fall in the southern mountains and elsewhere!
"SEASON OF THE BEAR, Volume 4: Understanding Bears" [tentative title - planned release: 2011] A most interesting video about having bears for neighbors in urban areas and in the forests you may visit, interviews with bear managers in the southeastern states (Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, etc.), what is involved with managing bears and people near bears, and what we can each do to help bears stay wild.
"SEASON OF THE BEAR, Volume 5: Safe Among Bears" [tentative title - planned release 2011] A great video about how to stay safe in bear territory, what to notice about bear behavior, what to do if a bear comes near, plus interviews with bear safety experts and a wildlife videographer who has been photographing wild bears for over 15 years. A must see for anyone who hikes in or visits places where bears are present.
"SEASON OF THE BEAR, Volume 6: Bearish Research" [tentative title - planned release 2012] A look at why bear research is important, researching the 8 species of bears, and interviews with people who actually study bears.
